* Students are encouraged to wear Spirit Wear every Wednesday.
* Don't forget that every Friday is "Fitness Friday." Please have your child dress appropriately for
physical activity.
* FYI - I will be sending home the students' rest time towels every other Friday so they can be
washed. Please remember to bring them back to school on Monday.
* Our next spelling test will be on Friday, November 13th. Please make sure your child knows his/her
letters, letter sounds, and/or sight words. We will not be having a spelling test next Friday due to
Grandparents' Day.
* If you are participating in the Book It! Program, please fill out the calendar that was sent home and
return it at the end of the month.
* Thank-you to all of those who placed a book order! I will be receiving the books sometime next
week.
* FRA is partnering with the "We Care From the Heart Foundation" of Northwest Indiana to help
those in need. Please show your support by bringing in any new or used coats, warm hats, scarves,
mittens, and/or canned goods to school tomorrow. Students will receive Monti/Hender points for each
item donated.
* Our next field trip will be on Thursday, November 19th. We will be going to Governors State
University to see a play entitled Seussical. Please return your child's permission slip if you haven't
already.
* Grandparents' Day is on Friday, November 20th. Guests should plan to arrive at 9:30am, and the
musical/drama performances will begin at 10:00am. Kindergarten students need to wear black pants,
black socks, black shoes, and a white short-sleeved shirt with no writing or logo. Students will be
dismissed at 11:30am.
