The kindergarten students learned
about the sun in science.
They learned that energy from the
sun can help things grow and can
even make things work. They
couldn't wait to go outside and
explore solar energy!
We are holding a solar panel. A
solar panel turns solar energy
into electric energy.
The students predicted that the
light bulb would work if the
solar panel was tilted towards
the sun.
The students even got a fan to
work using the solar panel.
The fan stopped working when the
solar panel wasn't tilted towards
the sun.
Look! The color wheel is
spinning!
This music player is working even
though it doesn't have any
batteries!
After the solar energy
experiments, the kindergarten
students wrote about what they
learned. The students also built
their own solar powered cars
later in the school year.
