The Young Scholars Team is eager and ready to help your child start their
academic journey. Mrs. Bach, Mrs. Penegor, Mrs. Sandoval, Mrs. Murphy, and
Mrs. Buchler have so many fun and exciting activities planned to help your
child learn and explore the world around us. We all bring different ideas
and techniques from our various backgrounds.
Mrs. Bach is the director of Young Scholars and has been with the program for
12 years. Now that her family is raised and her children are functioning
adults, she feels as though she can continue her dream of being a "mom" with
all of your children on a daily basis.
Mrs. Sandoval has been with Young Scholars for 5 years. Her enthusiasm and
charisma make her a favorite with all of the children. When she is not at
FRA, Mrs. Sandoval enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful
children. She also loves to support her favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.
Mrs. Penegor joined our team last year. She moved to the USA three years ago
from Great Britain after marrying her American husband. She has 10 years
teaching experience in both the UK and the USA, which gives her a
transatlantic overview of education. Mrs. Penegor loves to travel and go out
dancing with her husband.
Mrs. Buchler has been affiliated with FRA for 10 years. She has been an
assistant teacher for 5 of those years and is the lunchroom coordinator.
Mrs. Buchler and her husband love to keep busy at home with their three
amazing daughters.
Mrs. Murphy has been with FRA for 3 years. She has worked as the 2nd Grade
assistant teacher for the last two years but she is looking forward to
getting back to her roots and working with pre-school children again. Prior
to joining FRA, Mrs. Murphy lived and taught in Indianapolis for 20 years.
She enjoys car travel with her husband and is addicted to crossword puzzles!
As you can see, even though we are all different, we have one goal in mind.
That is to give your child a warm, fun and loving environment in which to
learn and grow.
