Updates/Reminders
Snow Gear
Please make sure your child has the proper winter gear to play outside. Students will go outside if the wind chill is above 20 degrees. Your child will only be able to play in the snow if he/she has the following:
ü snow pants
ü snow boots
ü coat
ü hat
ü gloves or mittens
*Snow gear will be coming home today and should be returned on Monday.
Holidays
FRA would like to celebrate the holiday season this year by giving to others in need. The Junior Kindergarten class typically has a book exchange with their classmates; however, this year I would like each student to bring in a children's book that will be given to a child in Liberia. Please feel free to send your child's book to donate anytime before Friday, December 18th.
*Please attach a simple note to your child’s book stating that it is to be donated. Thank-you!
** Project Day at FRA is on Friday, December 18th.
Letter/Word Folder
We will not be having a spelling test the week of December 14th due to Project Day. Please take time to review your child’s past letters, letter sounds, and/or sight words.
Special Dates…
ü Wednesday, December 16th the student council will not be selling a healthy treat as stated on the December activities calendar.
ü Thursday, December 17th is a “No Uniform Day.” Passes will be sent home next week.
ü Friday, December 18th is “Project Day.” Students are encouraged to wear holiday colors. We will also be watching The Polar Express and enjoying cookies and cocoa.
Spirit Wear
Next week, the Junior Kindergarten class will be selling Spirit Wear t-shirts. These t-shirts were designed by your child and his/her classmates. Each t-shirt includes a self-portrait of your child and their 19 friends. T-shirts are $20.00 each. For your convenience, it will be charged to your account. If you would like to purchase a t-shirt, please fill out the form that was sent home.
