Student Council Treats
The student Council will be selling a special healthy treat on Wednesday, November 18th during lunch. Treats will cost $1.00. If you would like for your child to purchase a treat, please send $1.00 in their folder.
No Uniform Day
The Junior Kindergarten class will not be able to participate in the “No Uniform Day” on November 19th. Students must wear their uniforms for our field trip. Thank-you!
Field Trip
We’re planning to go to Governors State University to see a play entitled Seussical on Thursday, November 19th. Chaperones for this trip are: Mrs. Bhasin, Mrs. Cappas, Mrs. Critser, Ms. Eidner, Janie Harris, Mr. Helton, Mrs. Ishmael, Mrs. Nikolic, Mr. Shih, and Mrs. Yessenow. Chaperones, please report to our classroom at 8:30.
Grandparent’s Day
ü Grandparent’s Day is November 20th. Grandparents may start arriving at 9:30 and will be directed to congregate in the gymnasium where refreshments will be awaiting them. The entertainment begins at 10:00. Students will be dismissed at 11:30.
ü Junior kindergarten students need to wear black pants, black socks, black shoes, and a white short-sleeved shirt (no logo).
Letter/Word Folder
We will not be having a spelling test the week of November 16th due to Grandparent’s Day and Thanksgiving Break. Please take time to review your child’s past letters, letter sounds, and/or sight words.
Handwriting
Attached to our news this week is a copy of the handwriting we use in our class. Please refer to this sheet when helping your child at home.
