About The Teacher

My name is Carrie Szafarczyk.  I have been a part of Forest Ridge Academy 
for ten years. I came to Forest Ridge Academy in the summer of 1999 to be 
part of the Summer School Young Scholars Team.  I then had an excellent 
opportunity to work with the Kindergartners, as a teaching assistant.  
What a great way to receive "hands-on" experience!  In 2000, I officially 
joined the Young Scholars Team.  After working with the team for two years, 
I became the Junior Kindergarten teacher. For the last seven years, I have 
enjoyed teaching Junior Kindergarten.  Early Childhood Education is my 
career and my goal is to incorporate the most efficient and appropriate 
techniques used to teach your child.  While in Junior Kindergarten, your 
child will be exposed to a "hands-on" and developmentally appropriate 
classroom environment.  I am looking forward to working with you and your 
child.  I am also looking forward to the new challenges and milestones your 
child will surpass.
