Balametrics - Importance of the Learning Breakthrough Program

The Learning Breakthrough Program, also called Balametrics, makes a
difference. The program is designed to stimulate and develop the brain
processes that make it easy to pay attention, to remember, to read, to
write, to spell, to think mathematically, and to listen and see
efficiently. Efficient learning depends on the focusing, integration,
coordination and sequencing of many different parts of the brain which
result from the use of this program.

The foundation of the Learning Breakthrough Program is a unique balance
stimulation device, The Belgau Balance Board. The grid on top of the board
makes it possible to align your feet and body with the Board's center of
balance. This in turn precisely centers and aligns your body and brain with
the gravitational vertical. The balance difficulty level of the board is
calibrated and can be changed and incrementally set over a very wide range
of difficulty levels.

The other items associated with the board provide a great variety of high
level, cortically stimulating, visual and motor coordinated activities.
When done on the Balance Board these activities involve and coordinate every
major brain system.

Value of the Learning Breakthrough Program:
1. The Learning Breakthrough Program develops and refines the basic brain
organizations that the foundation of all learning.

2. The Learning Breakthrough Program improves reading, vision,
coordination, learning ability and learning efficiency.

3. Individuals using the Learning Breakthrough Program think, spell, read,
write, do mathematical calculations, understand and remember history, and
appreciate the great contributions of science faster and with much less
stress.

As Good Shepherd's resource teacher, I have incorporated the balance board
into my curriculum. The students love doing the activities on the balance
board. They think it's a lot of fun! Please stop by sometime and I will
demonstrate the use of the board. For more information, visit
