I received the calling to pursue a career in the educational field at
an early age. I cannot recall any other profession that I considered
pursuing. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the University
of Evansville. I have been teaching for 34 years. This is my 35th year. My
first two years as an educator I taught at a Catholic school in Earlington,
Kentucky. For the past 33 years I have been teaching at Good Shepherd
School, which happens to also be the grade school from which I graduated.
What a special gift God gave me to be able to teach at this school. I feel
that I am very blessed to be teaching at Good Shepherd.
I am married with two children. My husband, Dave, and I reside in
Chandler, Indiana. My children graduated from the University of Southern
Indiana. My daughter is a deputy prosecutor in Harrison County,
Indiana. My son is a cost analyst for Jewish Hospital in Louisville. I am
so proud of both of my children.
My hobbies include gardening and reading. This summer I had various
butterflies and hummingbirds visiting my flower graden. I also like to play
with our dog, Katie. Even though my children are grown, we still like to
travel together on family trips.
