Hello! I'm very excited about this school year! I am truly blessed to work in
such a wonderful
environment every day.
I am a 2010 graduate of Butler University, where I received my Bachelor of
Music Degree in Music Education, cum laude. At Butler, I was very active in
the School of Music, Butler Catholic Community, and service organizations. In
the spring of 2008, I traveled to Europe with the Butler Wind Ensemble, where
we performed in numerous historic locations and visited many beautiful,
music-filled cities!
Last summer, I spent two weeks at Anderson University studying the
Orff-Schulwerk approach to music education. This process uses song, speech,
games, movement, and instruments to allow children to explore and discover
their own solutions and creative ideas in a respectful, non-threatening
environment.
