Elizabeth Ministry

                              GENERAL INFORMATION
How can a woman receive reassurance and advice when she is pregnant or
caring for her newborn? With whom can a woman talk about infertility? Who
will reach out to the woman who experiences a miscarriage or infant death?
Elizabeth Ministry responds to these needs by offering like-to-like ministry
through personal visits or prayer partners. Please contact us if you are in
need or if you would like to join our group.

"Elizabeth Ministry is an outreach to women in special times of
motherhood. It is based on Jesus' vision of the radical goodness, beauty, and
truth of human life. The purpose of this ministry is to affirm, support,
encourage, and assist women in response to their needs during the
childbearing years. Elizabeth Ministry follows the example of the Scripture
story of the Visitation by bringing together women who share a similar story.
This ministry provides an opportunity for like-to-like ministry through
personal visits."

                            ROSEBUD PROGRAM
The Rosebud Program is an outreach program to women in special times of
motherhood. The stand is located in the west corner of the narthex. Please
fill out a card with your specific childbearing situation, place the card in
the covered basket, and an Elizabeth Minister with a similar experience will
contact you. For those who are expecting a baby, a pink rose will be placed
in the vase so our parish can prayerfully reflect on the lovely bouquet and
the new life it represents.

                              HELP NEEDED
The Elizabeth Ministry also provides baby blankets at baptisms. The
blankets are donated by parishioners and can be knitted, crocheted, quilted,
etc. You are encouraged to create a blanket to welcome the newest members of
God's family.

Please contact SHERRY HURT at 401-7636 for additional information.
