Welcome to Holy Spirit School ! Pre-school - 8th grade

Our school is the best kept secret in Southwestern Indiana. We have a vibrant teaching staff that takes the time to love, nurture and meet the individual needs of our students. Our class sizes are small enough that each student receives a quality education and feels welcomed and accepted.
We have the latest in advanced technology including smartboards and computer labs in the classroom. Holy Spirit embraces an entire wing for an amazing special education program. We embrace the opportunity to welcome your child into our program, where learning goes hand-in-hand
with nurturing, encouragement, and fostering independence on your child's road to success. Our pre-school, Gabriel's Garden, takes pride in the quality of accomplishments the students take with them into kindergarten. The skills covered are spirituallity, social, fine motor, language arts, math, science, music and art.

At Holy Spirit School your child will receive knowledge, love, and acceptance. We rely upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, our name sake, to lead us to provide a good quality program in a safe environment. Come and join us!

CONGRATULATIONS to Michael Mosbey, Henry Mitz, and John David Mitz!

(Pictured on the left is Michael Mosbey and Henry Mitz. For more pictures of these special days, see Photo Gallery III)

At the Chili Cook-Off, their parents were the high bidders for student principal and priest for the day! Each student had a special planned day including going out to lunch with Fr. Burns and Mrs. Mills.

Michael was student priest for the day and did the morning prayers on our Cougar News broadcasting show. He assisted Father Burns with the school Mass, and finished the day, leading us in prayer.

Henry was student principal for the day and helped with the morning news, made a schedule change for Crazy Hair Day, talked with staff members, and did afternoon announcements.

John David was also student principal for the day and helped with the morning news, added a brownie for everyone at lunch, conducted a fire drill, and helped with afternoon announcements.

It was truly a blessings to spend time with these students and see things from their prospectives. They all took it very seriously, even telling staff members that asked, they couldn't have raises. Mr. Don asked for the day off and was told "yes" and that we could get a sub. (Mr. Don smiled)

The most heart felt part of the day was when another child asked Michael if he wanted to be a priest and Michael answered, "I've thought about being a priest and a teacher. I know God has His plan for me, so I will listen for what He wants me to do". Great answer Michael.

Serra Club Project Winners

CONGRATULATIONS to Erik Slow and Jantzen Emery!

The Serra Club Project is a project about VOCATIONS. This project is completed in 8th grade religion class. The students write about the different types of vocations, research and interview people, and really learn about the true meaning of vocations. Erik and Jantzen each wrote an essay. They were chosen to attend a luncheon at the Catholic Center with other Serra Club winners around the diocese. Congratulations to these outstanding students.
