Welcome to a new school year with Tyrone Tiger.  Tyrone will be traveling around the United States this year and reporting back to us so we can learn about other states in our beautiful country.

Hello boys and girls.  My name is Tyrone Tiger.  Mrs. Dill and her Second grade students at Northwestern Elementary School in Kokomo, Indiana are my school family.
These 2nd graders may be Treasured Readers this year and read to the class.

Mrs. Dill's class was a wonderful place for me to start my 2011-2012 tour.  I am now on my way to Pennsylvania.  Check in again soon to see my adventures in the East. 

I had a great time at my first stop in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. I loved visiting with this fun group of 2nd graders at Harrison Park Elementary School. Their school is about an hour away from Pittsburgh. Many of the students here were cheering on their favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. While here, I got to participate in so many exciting things. Some of the kids in the class read some stories to me. My favorite story I heard was Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea by Cynthia Rylant. I also got to practice my math facts and create some fun art projects. Even though it rained a lot while I was there, I did get to play some fun games during indoor recess. I will miss my new friends I made but it is time for me to head onto my next stop in California.
