Top Text Title: Top Text: Do you know who painted the famous Mona Lisa? Did you know Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel while lying on his back? These are just a couple famous works from the Renaissance period. The Renaissance was a cultural "rebirth" in Italy that spanned hundreds of years. As the Renaissance Researcher, your job is to write an informational article that will be displayed in the museum to teach the public about Renaissance artwork. Also, you are responsible for choosing three pieces to represent the Renaissance time period. How are these pieces characteristic of Renaissance artwork? After you have selected artwork, write a short biography on the artist(s) whose work you have chosen. Then, prepare to explain to your group members why these pieces should be on display in the musuem. Some examples of Renaissance painters are listed below, but you are not limited to these artists.
