Process

Ready, Set, Go!  Follow the steps below to successfully complete your 
assignment.

*STEP 1 - MEET AND GREET*
First meet as a squad and decide who will research which recycable material. Each member of the team must research all areas of their recyclable material.
*STEP 2 - VISIT THE PRINTER*
After your squad has decided who will complete each research topic, print a record sheet, using the Internet link below to record your facts on. While you are printing, it may be wise at this time to also print off a rubrics for your group work and presentation. I will, however, have extra copies available on presentation day.
*STEP 3 - READ AND RESEARCH*
Now visit YOUR recyclable material page and let your research begin.
*STEP 4 - DISCUSSION AND DECIDE*
Now that all squad members have collected their information about recycling, meet again as a squad. Each member should have their turn to explain what they discovered through their research and state their feelings as to why the citizens should begin to recycle. After every squad member has shared their information, your squad must now work together to decide which way would be the best reason for the citizens to recycle. Make sure your can squad has plenty of supporting reasons to credit your decision.
*STEP 5 - CLASSROOM PRESENTATION CREATION*
Now that your squad has selected the best reason to recycle, you will work together to create a presentation to inform the citizens to choose to recycle. Working together your squard should select one of the following to design: A Poster A Comic A Television Commercial A Radio Commercial A Brochure A Piggy-back Song A Skit A PowerPoint Other ***Ask “The Commander (your teacher)” if you have additional idea for presentation.*** Anyway your squad chooses to present your research and decision, you should make sure that the follwoing information is included: *Names of all squad members *AT LEAST 5 interesting facts about each recyclable material *AT LEAST 3 good reasons why citizens should recycle *Anything else your squad feels is important
*STEP 6 - LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!*
Each squad will have 3 to 5 minutes to give their prepared presentation. Please bring all necessities that your squad will need to give the presentation. Come prepared!
