First, your job is to read The Open Road. You need to think
about the following questions:
1. Why does Toad want a motorcar?
2. How did he find out about them?
3. Can he afford a new motorcar?
4. What makes the motorcar special?
5. What kinds of safety features does a car need?
Second, have look at the websites, and design a new car for Toad. You can
print a picture to color off of the website, or create your own. Make sure
you think about what types of things Toad might need in his car. Write and
draw a diagram to illustrate the features of the car.
Third, write an advertisement or design a commericial to make other people
want to buy this car.~ Think about what would make people want to buy the
car: Is it safe? Does it look cool? How fast does it go? How much room is
inside the car? |
