Today the students received their directions for their big poetry books.  
This is also their Young Author's Book.  If your child has not yet signed up 
for Young Author's, you have until Feb. 16th to sign them up.

Please ask them nightly if they are working on their poems.  We will be 
working on them daily in class, but they need to write multiple poems for 
each type of poem, so they should be working on them at home.

We will be typing them up and printing them.  They may do this at home too.  
If you don't have a printer, your child can save their poems on their flash 
drive and print here at school.  It will save them countless minutes, if they 
can work at home though.

The final projects are due on Friday, March 16.  We will bind our books and 
share them the following week leading up to the Conference, which is Sat. 
March 24 at Marian HS.

If you have questions, please ask your child for their requirement, rubric, 
and self-reflection packet first.  This will answer many questions or 
concerns you might have, but if you have other concerns, you may always 
contact me via email or here at school.
