First Grade Parent Night!
October 21, at 6:30 pm, first grade parents will have an opportunity to
attend a music "class" with their
first grade student. Come learn how to make music like a composer (well, at
least a first grade
composer!).
This event lasts about 45 minutes.
Indiana State School Music Association:
Solo/Ensemble Contest
This event is for students who are in fifth through eighth grades and
participate in band, orchestra, or choir. The contest is divided into two
separate events. The last Saturday of January, students may take a vocal or
piano solo or ensemble to compete at Elkhart Central High School. The first
Saturday of February, students may take a wind (brass OR woodwind), string,
or percussion solo or ensemble to compete at Penn High School. For more
information, choir or band students may talk with Mrs. Berryman; string
students should talk with Mrs. Bradberry.
