This Week's Homework

Monday, December 14th 

6th grade in class: Students finished the in class portion of the Geo Bee. Students spent some time 
studying for their map quiz on ancient Greece.  Students took notes and discussed the basics on 
Greek mythology.

Homework: Ancient Greece map quiz:  Tuesday, December 15th 


7th grade in class: Students received their Modern Middle East quizzes back.  We went over the 
answers and students had time to ask questions.  We began the in class portion of the Geo Bee

Homework: Bring in magazines for African collage project


8th grade in class: Students had a few minutes to work on their Rev. War Journals.  Students 
continued to read/take notes/discuss the events leading up to the Declaration of Independence 
(book pgs  176-181) 

Homework: Pre-War Journal Entry #2 and Lexington and Concord Journal entries due Tuesday, 
December 15th 



Tuesday, December 15th 

6th grade in class: Students took their Ancient Greece Map Quiz.  Students made "4 squares" for the 
words: Mt. Olympus and polytheistic.  Students took notes on the 12 major gods and goddesses of 
Mt. Olympus and learned about the Greek creation story. 

Homework: None


7th grade in class: Students continued the in class portion of the Geo Bee

Homework:  Bring in magazines for African collage project


8th grade in class: Students 

Homework: 4 squares for the words: Lexington and Concord
                                                                  Second Continental Congress
                                                                  Olive Branch Petition 
                                                                  Declaration of Independence

Wednesday, December 16th 

6th grade in class: Students finished taking notes on the major Greek gods and goddesses.  They 
received the instrctions for their god/goddess project and had time to read some Greek myths.

Homework: Greek god/goddess project due Friday, December 18th 


7th grade in class: Students finished the in class portion of the Geo Bee.  Students received the 
requirements for their African Climate Zones collage project 

Homework: None 


8th grade in class: Students shared some of their journal entries with a partner.  Students began to 
read and take notes on the Declaration of Independence in small groups

6th grade in class: ** No 6L because of Teacher Christmas Breakfast
6C- had some addtional time to read Greek myths and had time to work on their projects.
