6th grade in class: Students reviewed the three branches of the U.S. government. We started
creating 4 squares vocab for these branches.

6th grade in class: Students finished their 4 squares vocabulary for the three branches of
government (Executive, Judicial, Legislative.) We used the Internet to look at what kinds of Bills are
before Congress now. As a class we began to write a bill that we would like to see turned into a law.

Wednesday, November 11th
6th grade in class: Students did a "gallery walk" of their Rights and Responsibilities of US citizens"
posters. We finished writing our class bill.

7th grade in class:
7S Completed the "after" side of their "3 religions cover sheet". Students received their Egyptian
paper and presentation grades back. Students also received their Japanese postcard assignment
back.
7L Students created their new cover sheet for "Modern Middle East" and filed out the before side. We
also worked on a worksheet that contained a map of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Modern Middle East Map Quiz re-take Friday, November 13th
8th grade in class: Students finished the after side of their "American before the Revolution
cover sheet. We began to brainstorm occupations in colonial America during the 1700's. Next week
students will be researching these occupations and creating a character who lived during the
Revolutionary war.
