6th grade in class: Students reviewed the definitions of "free market economy" and "command
economy" and shared their illustrations for these words. Students began a market simulation activity

7C- students created 4 squares vocab for "cartel" and "OPEC"
Homework: Islamic Renaissance Museum Project due Tuesday, December 1st
8th grade in class: Students received their museum label rough drafts back and we discussed what
should be done to make improvements for the final draft. Students had time to work in their first
journal entry (as their Revolutionary War characters). Students also started to work on creating their
Rev. War journal cover sheet.

created badges in their "companies" using a free market economy system.

Homework: Bring in magazines for our Africa collage next week (We will need pictures of animals
and vegetation for the different climate zones in Africa. National Geographic magazines work very
well).
8th grade in class: Students discussed what they already know about the Revolutionary War. They
started their unit cover sheet. Students also began to take notes on the differences between Patriots
and Loyalists.

8th grade in class: Students finished their notes on Patriots and Loyalists. They turned in their
preferences for what side their character would be on. Students had time to work on their Rev. War

they know about our next unit "Ancient Greece and Rome" THey started to create a cover sheet for
this new unit.
