Monday, December 7th 6th grade in class: Economics Basics Quiz Homework: None 7th grade in class: Students went over their Modern Middle East Study Guide and reviewed for their quiz. 7C- started to brainstorm what they know about African geography and history Homework: Modern Middle East Quiz Tuesday, December 8th ** Bring in magazines for Africa collages (national geographic works well) 8th grade in class: Students completed rounds 1-3 of Geo Bee Preliminary Competition Homework: None Tuesday, December 8th 6th grade in class: Students began to take notes on ancient Greece. We discussed how historians have created our current method of telling time. We also discussed the geography of Greece and how the ancient Greek people adapted to their surroundings. Homework: create "4 squares" for the following words: anno domini, peninsula, city-state, polis 7th grade in class: Modern Middle East Quiz Homework: * Bring in magazines for Africa collages (national geographic works well) 8th grade in class: Students finished the in class Geo Bee competitions Homework: None Wednesday, December 9th 6th grade in class: Students continued to take notes on ancient Greece. We discussed the characteristics of a city-state and created a map of ancient Greece. Homework: Finish ancient Greek map Map Quiz on Tuesday , December 15th 7th grade in class: Students received back their Islamic Renaissance Museum Projects. We started to take notes on African Geography Homework: 7S 4 squares for the following words: Sahara and desertification 8th grade in class: Students received their first Rev. War Journal entries back. We discussed examples of great entries. Students received their next Rev. War Journal assignments. Students had time to star these journal entries Homework: Journal assignments due on Friday, December 11th Thursday, December 10th 6th grade in class: Students continued with the class Geo Bee competition Homework: Map Quiz on Tuesday , December 15th 7th grade in class: Students continued to take notes on the physical geography of Africa. They started to make a map of these features Homework: * Bring in magazines for Africa collages (national geographic works well) 8th grade in class: Students had time to work on their Rev.
