Cure’ of Ars
Week of Nov. 30 – December 4th
Religion – We are moving into the Spiritual Works of Mercy, along with daily
Advent activities.
Reading – We are reading The Stories Julian Tells. The regular Reading and
Spelling tests will be on Friday. (See my website for Spelling words and
vocabulary definitions if you misplace the paper copy.)
Math – We are moving into Ch. 5, which is more multiplication. Please have
your child practice every day the fact they are ready for in our Mad-Minutes.
Social Studies – We are taking the Ch. 3 test on FRIDAY. The study guide and
spirals are coming home today.
Science – Mrs. Morris is moving into Ch. 4 – Changing Ecosystems.
Language Arts – Mrs. Cezar is working on Verbs.
*This is the last week to bring in canned soup for the food drive.

Week of November 16-20, 2009
Religion – We are continuing to study the Corporal Works of Mercy. Don’t
forget about 3rd grades’ project to raise “Pennies for the Poor.” (The note
was sent home last week.)
Reading – We are reading “Little Grunt and the Big Egg”. Look for the book
to come home tomorrow for Reading homework.
Math – We are continuing to work through Ch. 4 – Multiplication. The
students are also working on their multiplication facts in Mad-Minutes now.
Social Studies – We are continuing our study of Native American groups in Ch.
3. I may be giving a test next week Tuesday over Ch. 3 if we get caught up
this week. Please check my homework website later this week for any notices.
Science – Mrs. Morris is giving a TEST on WEDNESDAY over Ch. 3. The study
guide was sent home last week.
Language Arts – Mrs. Cezar is moving into verbs.
*I will NOT be sending a letter or the folder home next week. With school
only on Monday and Tuesday next week, there will be NO Spelling or Reading
tests.
