9-3-09   characterization chart for three main characters--Eli, Sylvia, 
         Dr. Ramenzel--find examples from the story to show how the author
         develops characterization through these 3 ways:
         1- a physical description of the character
         2- using the character's own thoughts, actions, or speech
         3- using the other characters' thoughts, actions, or speech about the
         other character

         8/27 on the literary terms we discussed in class today.
