What: Opened in 1997, the center was named for a Catholic Charities worker, Wilhelmina Gill, who was instrumental in starting the project.
Approximately 500 noon-time meals are served every day of the year to the homeless, lonely, and those of low income.
Where: The center is located at 645 Nebraska. Take Roe Avenue (becomes 18th street expressway) north to Minnesota Street. Turn right on Minnesota and head to 6th street. Take a left at 6th and go to Nebraska. Turn left. The center is on the South side of the street. It sits away from the street a little, but is well marked.

When: Cure 8th graders will staff the kitchen every first and third Monday of the month when school is in session. Students will leave at 9:30 am from the school with parent volunteers and will return at approximately 1:30 pm. Students will miss 3rd, 4th, 5th, and part of 6th and 2nd hour. They are responsible for turning in any homework that is due that day. They are also responsible for obtaining any work that was assigned that day and for completing it on time. The students will eat the lunch provided at the food kitchen.
Who: Each Cure 8th grader will serve once during the school year. The students will be scheduled in small groups of 5-7 and will be accompanied by parents.
How: God has blessed us with the ability and resources to serve in this capacity.
