Dec. 18 -  No Classes. Skating Party.  Merry Christmas and a Happy and 
Healthy New Year.

Dec.17-worked in computer lab on Lewis and Clark project.

Dec. 16 - worked in computer lab on Lewis and Clark project

Dec.15 - worked in computer lab on Lewis and Clark webquest.

Dec. 14 - read pages 298-301 and in IN on the NAP create a chart on the 
following: Rush-Bagot Agreement, Convention of 1818, Adams-Onis Treaty, and 
the Monroe Doctrine. Tell what nations were involved and what the conditions 
of each of the agreements were. INs due tomorrow.

Dec. 11 - Chapter 8 Test

Dec. 10 - worked in computer lab on Lewis and Clark webquest.

Dec. 9 - talked about the Lewis and Clark webquest we are going to be working 
on. No homework. Study for the Chapter 8 test. It is on Friday.

Dec. 8 - went over study guide and reviewed for the test. Chapter 8 test is 
on Friday, December 11.

Dec. 7 - worked on study guide in class. It is due on Wednesday, December 9. 
Chapter 8 Test is on Friday, December 11.

Dec. 4 - read section 4 of Chapter 8. In your IN on the NAP create a chart 
listing the following and two important things about it: War at Sea, Battles 
Along the Canadian Border,Battle of Lake Erie,Battle of the Thames River, The 
Creek War, British Attacks in the East, and Battle of New Orleans.

Dec. 3 - watched video on Lewis and Clark and took notes in IN. Get Chapter 7 
Test signed. Test on Chapter 8 on Friday, December 12.

Dec. 2 - in IN on the NAP create a chart comparing the War hawks with the 
Federalists. Give four reasons the War Hawks wanted to go to war with 
Britain, and tell who the three famous War Hawks were. Include a symbol for 
war above the chart. For the Federalists mention the one person who didn't 
want to go to war, and tell four reasons why they didn't want to go to war. 
Include a symbol for peace above the chart for the Federalists. Tell what the 
result of the two sides was.

Dec. 1 - in IN on the NAP create a flyer for  recruits for the Corps of 
Discovery. What type of qualifications should they have? What are some of the 
jobs they might have? What hazards might they face?

Nov. 30 - read section 1 of Chapter 8 and answer questions 1,2,and 3 on page 
270. This should be done on notebook paper and answer in complete sentences.

Nov. 24 - collected INs. No Homework
Nov. 23 - Chapter 7 Test. INs collected tomorrow.

Nov. 20 - worked on worksheets in class and took channel one test.

Nov. 19 - go over study guide and review for the test. Tes on Chapter 7 is on 
Monday, November 23.

Nov. 18 - read section 4 of Chapter 7 and work on study guide. It is due 
tomorrow.

Nov. 17 - In your IN on the NAP write a news story about the Whiskey 
Rebellion. Tell who, what, when, where,  why and how. What was the result?

Nov. 16 - In your IN on the NAP create a chart comparing Jay's Treaty with 
Pickney's Treaty on the following things: Who arranged the treaty and with 
what country was it, What it accomplished, and How the American people felt 
about it. Test on Chapter 7 is on Monday, November 23. INs will be collected 
on Tuesday, November 24.

Nov. 13 - take channelone test and watch video and take notes in IN.

Nov. 12 - Read pages 238 - 242. In IN on the NAP create a T-chart comparing 
Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson on the following topics: National 
Debt, Government, Economy, and Bank of America.

Nov. 11 - Read pages 234 - 237. Watched video on Geroge Washington and took 
notes in IN. In IN on the NAP create a resume for George Washington. You can 
use information from your notes and from information in your book.You must 
include five facts for each heading. You may use bullets, but no one word 
ones. 

Nov. 10 - Chapter 5 Test

Nov. 9 - went over study guide and reviewed for Chapter 5 test.

Nov. 4 - worked on study guide in class. It is due on Monday, November 9.

Nov. 3 - in IN on the NAP glue in handout and follow directions. Test on 
Chapter 5 on Tuesday, November 10. 

Nov. 2 - in IN on the NAP create a chart about the three branches of 
government- legislative, judicial, and executive. Tell what they do and whom 
they consist of.

Oct. 30 - watch Constitutional Convention video and take notes in IN. Read 
pages 163-169 and in IN on the NAP create 3 lists with the following topics: 
main topics of debate, key decisions made, key delegates and their 
contributions---these are all concerning the Constitutional Convention.

Oct 29 - read pages 158 -162. In IN on the NAP create a large notice to 
appear in the newspaper announcing the Constitutional Convention. The notice 
should ecplain the weaknessnes of the Articles of Confederation, the many 
problems that resulted from it, and why a Constitutional Convention is needed.

Oct. 28 - read pages 152 -155. In IN on the NAP glue in handout and tell what 
different things influenced the early government formation in the United 
States. 

Oct. 27 - Chapter 4 TEST

Oct. 26 - collected cootie catcher and reviewed for the Chapter 4 test which 
is tomorrow.

Oct. 23 - No School

Oct. 22 - went over study guide and reviewed for the test. Revolutionary War 
cootie catcher is due on Monday.

Oct. 21 - worked on study guide for Chapter 4.It is due tomorrow. 

Oct. 20 - in IN on the NAP create a journal entry about the  Battle of 
Yorktown. Tell what happened ,and how you felt as a soldier witnessing this 
event. Test on Chapter 4 is Tuesday, October 27.

Oct. 19 - read pages 130 - 134 and on notebook paper answer questions 1-5 in 
complete sentences that are on page 134. Test on Chapter 4 on Tuesday, 
October 27.
