I was born and raised in Hays,Kansas. I received my B.A. degree in education
from Fort Hays State University. I have always taught in the middle school,
and my first job teaching was in Oskaloosa,Kansas. I have been teaching for
seventeen years, and this is my thirteenth year at Cure. In August 2003 I
received
an M.S. in Education from Kansas University.
Since my husband was an officer in the navy, I have had the opportunity to
travel and live in many areas. We have lived in San Francisco, and Monterey,
CA., Guam, Oak Harbor, WA, Las Vegas, NV, and Chicago, IL. I have four
children.
My mission for our classes is to instill in all of my students an awe and
respect for our wonderful country. I also want them to realize that in order
to keep it the great country it is, everyone needs to participate. Learning
how to become a knowledgeable and concerned citizen is a big part of my
curriculum.
My main goal, however, is to allow everyone to be successful in my class.
