2nd quarter Dec. 18 - No classes--skating party. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. Dec. 17 - worked in computer lab on Gilded Age newspaper project. Dec.16-watched video. No homework. Dec 15 - collected INs.Watched video Newsies. Dec 14 - watched video Newsies. INs due tomorrow. Dec. 11 - Chapter 19 Test. Dec. 10 - worked in computer lab on immigration webquest. This is due on Monday, December 14. The IN assignment is due on Monday as well. Dec. 9 - went over study guide and reviewed for the test. Dec. 8 - worked on study guide in class. It is due tomorrow. Test for Chapter 19 is on Friday, December 11. Dec. 7 - watched video and took notes in IN. In IN on the NAP create a news story about either the Haymarket Riot or the Homestead Strike. Include a picture. Dec. 4 - watched video and took notes in IN. No homework. Dec. 3 - in IN on the NAP chose a stock to follow for five days. Show the amount of the stock for today and track it for the next five days.Write the amount of the stock from day to day and the amount of change, if any. Dec. 2 -in IN on the NAP chose which invention you think was the most important that was mentioned in this section. Include ten reasons why you think it is and include a picture. Dec. 1 - Chapter 18 test. Nov. 30 - went over study guide and reviewed for the test. Chapter 18 test is tomorrow. Nov. 25,26,26 - Thanksgiving Break. Nov. 24 - worked on study guide in class, it is due on Monday, November30. Nov. 23 - read section 3 and discuss. Collect INs. Worksheet. Nov. 20 - NO class - field trip. INs will be collected on Monday. Nov. 19 - reviewed lesson 2 and watched video. INs collected on Monday. Nov. 18 - in IN on the NAP write a diary entry as a Native American who witnessed either the Battle of Little Bighorn or the Wounded Knee Massacre. Nov. 17 - in IN on the NAP create an Ad for the newspaper encouraging people to travel on the railroad. What are the advantages? Nov. 16 - In IN on the NAP create a wanted poster for the job of Cowboy. What qualifications would this person need to have? What are some of the hardships? INs will be collected on Thursday, November 19. Nov. 13 - Chapter 17 test. Nov. 12 - went over study guide and reviewed for the test. Nov. 11 - work on study guide for Chapter 17 test. Nov. 10 - read section 3 of Chapter 17 and in your IN on the NAP create a headline for a newspaper for each of the major sections. You should have ten of them. Test on Chapter 17 on Friday, November 13. Nov. 9 - read section 2 of Chapter 17 and complete worksheet.Test on chapter 17 on Friday, November 13. Nov. 4 - Bishop Miege field trip. No homework. Nov. 3 - watch video on Reconstruction and take notes in IN. Nov. 2 - in IN on the NAP, you are a newly freed slave, write a letter to your cousin in the North, tell him what it feels like to be free, and what are some of the things you can now do. What do you plan to do? Oct. 30 - Unit 4,5, and 6 test. Oct. 29 - put together the Bill of Rights booklet and reviewed for the Test on Units 4,5, and 6. Oct. 28 - went over study guide and reviewed for the test. Oct. 27- read pages 244 to Study Guide due tomorrow. Test on Unit 4,5,6 is on Friday, October 30. Oct. 26 - received the study guide, it is due on Wednesday,October 28. Collected the Bill of Rights webquest. Oct. 23 - No School Oct. 22 - read pages 226-232 and complete the handout and glue into your IN on the NAP. Oct. 21 - ProLife Forum - No class. Oct. 20 - in IN on the NAP create a chart that explains how the following got the right to vote; African Americans, women, Native Americans, and 18 year olds. List the important legislation that helped them acheive the right to vote. October 19 - read pages 208-214. On notebook paper answer questions 1-7 in complete sentences on page 214.
