Homework will begin in September with a homework packet. This will contain
vocabulary words and daily assignments. Please be aware, we do not cover the
vocabulary words listed for each week that quickly. They are listed for your
reference only. The packet will be due at the end of the month. In addition,
the students will be bringing home their "homework binders" which will hold
homework sheets and books the children have been working on in class. If the
books are ones the students have written in, they can keep those. If the
books are readers from the classroom, they must be returned. These binders
usually go home on a Thursday and are returned on Monday with completed
homework. This is where you will look for a list of the vocabulary words that
we are working on.
SIGHT WORDS FOR KINDERGARTEN: These are the words we will be working on
during the WHOLE school year. By no means is your child expected to know
these now. We like for the students to have these mastered by the end of
Kindergarten. You will receive a copy of each group while we are working on
them. Look for the list in the homework binders.
