When are spelling tests?

Spelling tests are given every Thursday in a dictation format.

Flashcards, computer games, using playing cards, and games online

How often is homework given?

Students will have homework Monday-Thursday. Please be sure your child has a 
place to do their homework with few distractions. Help him/her set up a 
routine.

What is "Rocket Math?"

Rocket math is a new program being used in second grade.  The purpose of the 
program is to help students master math facts.  Students will be allowed to 
set goals and work at their own pace.  Boys and girls will practice facts 
with a partner, take timed tests, and graph their progress.
