Can my child bring treats for their birthday?

Absolutely! We would love to help your child celebrate their special day.
Treats should be store bought as per our school district's policy. Students
with summer birthdays may celebrate anytime during the school year.

My child does not understand the math homework assignment. What should we do?

Encourage your student to look back at notes or their Student Reference Book.
All students should attempt to do their very best on every homework
assignment. I look over homework to determine who needs additional help with
the different topics we are studying. It is often helpful for the students to
see a parent or guardian demonstrate the skill again.

My child never seems to have homework. Is this normal?

You can expect to see math homework come home almost nightly. Language arts
homework will vary during the school year. Two things your child can do EVERY
night: read and study multiplication facts. If you have internet access, get
on Kid Biz or Study Island to help keep skills sharp.
