My name is Anissa Selbach. I teach second grade at Elmont. I grew up in
Topeka and attended school in the Seaman district from kindergarten through
grade 12. I received my Bachelor of Education degree from Kansas State
University and a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction
from Washburn University. This is just my fourth year at Elmont but it is
my fifteenth year in the district. I spent two years teaching first grade
at East Indianola and nine years at Lyman Elementary teaching third
grade. It has been a pleasure to teach with some of the very same educators
who taught me. This district is a great place to be and I am thrilled to be
a part of it.
I have lived in Silver Lake for fifteen years with my husband Joey. We have a
four year old son, Cameron and added Kendall, our daughter, to our family
just this past June. We enjoy spending time at local racetracks
where Joey races a dirt modified, working in our yard, and simply enjoying
time spent together with our children.
Elmont Elementary will provide a supportive environment in which individuals
actively participate to become confident, responsible learners for life.
