Rules/Reglas

Señora Olea’s Rules of Spanish Class:

1. Hablen español/Speak Spanish: During activities (games, songs, questions
of the day, stories, etc.) we only speak Spanish.

If we don’t understand something, we can ask:
¿Qué significa ___? (What does ___ mean?)

If we don't know or remember how to say something in Spanish, we can ask:
¿Cómo se dice ____? (How do you say ____?)

2. Escuchen/Listen: We listen to each other and the teacher.

3. Miren/Look: We keep our eyes on the teacher. We also keep our eyes on the
materials she shows us to give us clues to what we’re discussing.

4. Levanten la mano/Raise your hand: We raise our hands to take turns
answering questions. We also keep our hands to ourselves during circle time.

5. Muestren respeto/Show respect: We respect the teacher and other
students. We are especially respectful when others are struggling or make
mistakes.

6. Tengan valor/Have courage: In Spanish class we are not afraid to try
something new and to make mistakes. The more we practice, the better we'll
get!
