Hi! I'm Mrs. Ouderkirk. I am your 4th grade teacher this year. This is my
19th year teaching at Tescott Grade School. I'm so excited to be starting
another new year. I hope you are as eager about this coming year as I am. I
am married to Dave, who is a stock broker. That means he uses other people's
money to buy stocks and makes more money for them! Dave is also the Head
Boys' Soccer coach for South High School, and Assistant coach for the Girls'
Soccer at Central High school.
I have two children. Logan is 17, and is a senior in high school this year.
His favorite activity is playing soccer. He wants to be a doctor when he
grows up. He is looking at attending Kansas University in Lawrence next year.
Meghan is 15, and is a Sophomore this year. She loves to swim. She is on
South High School swim team and is manager for the Boys' Soccer team. She is
on the Salina Aquatic Club swim team, so she swims for them in the summer,
fall, and winter seasons. Her favorite event is the 100m butterfly. Meghan
wants to be a teacher when she grows up. That makes me very happy!!!
Our newest member of our family for this school year is Anica. She lives in
Germany but is living with us and going to South High School this year. She
is called a foreign exchange student. She arrived in the US in August and
will go back to Germany in May after school is out. This should be a great
year for me to learn about Germany and hopefully learn a few German words to
share with you.
Our mission for this year is to make it the best possible year for all of us.
I promise to provide you with countless opportunities to learn new things,
experience new things, and make new friends. I want to give you a good
foundation to make smart choices and be a great member of ourclass, school, and
community.
