About Mrs. Norris:

I have been a Registered Nurse since 1981, and have worked in Hospitals,
Doctor's offices and Schools. My first nursing experience was at St. Lukes
Hospital (now Sumner Regional Medical Center), where I worked as a Floor
Nurse, in the OB department and as the Education Coordinator. I have also
worked in a Cardiology Doctor's office and at Via Christi - St. Joseph
Medical Center, both in Wichita.

My first School Nurse experience was in Belle Plaine, KS during the 1993-
1994 school year. I worked in the Belle Plaine School District for 3
years.

I came into the Wellington School District at the start of the 1996-1997
school year. At that time I provided Nursing Services to KG-12th Grade
Students in all 7 USD 353 Buildings with the help of a part-time Nurse who
provided services to Special Education students in all 7 buildings. During
the 1997-1998 school year the Special Education Nurse position became a full-
time position. Staring with the 1999-2000 school year a Second Nurse
position was added to provide Nursing Services to the Elementary School
Regular Education Students. The District continued to have one Nurse who
provided services to Special Education Students in all 7 district uildings.
During this time I provided services to the 6th-12th grade Regular Education
Students.

Starting with the 2004-2005 School Year up to the 2008-2009 school year I
provided Nursing Services to the High School Students, Parents & Staff on a
full-time basis, providing services for both regular and special education
students. During the 2007-2008 School Year I was designated as the
Supervisor/Coordinator of the USD 353 Nurses and Nursing Services.

Starting this year 2009-2010 - There are only 2 Registered Nurses for the
District. I will be covering WHS, WMS & Roosevelt Attendance Center for
Regular & Special Education Students.

Janet Fine, RN, will be providing regular & special education services to
Eisenhower, Kennedy & Washington & Lincoln Elementary Schools.
