The 7th Grade Team Supply List
2009-2010
Only bring paper and pencils the first few days, as lockers will not be assigned until about a week into school.
If everything is brought it will have to be carried back home daily until lockers are given out.
Lockers โ only magnets and posted notes will be allowed in their lockers. NO TAPE ALLOWED!
No backpacks with wheels allowed. These will not fit in the lockers.
Class Supplies:
- 7 โ pocket folders
- 5 composition notebooks (may need extras for classes as they will get full as the year progresses)
- numerous
pencils required for all classes
(all work done in Math and Science must be completed in pencil)
small hand pencil sharpener
wide ruled loose leaf paper
blue or black pens (no gel pens) for use in Language Arts
pack of 4 black or blue dry erase markers (preferably low odor)
2 boxes of tissue
2 roll of paper towels to be used in science labs
Book covers (you may want to wait until the books are distributed to purchase or make these).
$3.00 fee for Art (to be given to Mrs. Newton at the start of the grading period your child takes art)
Optional: Pencil pouch or box.
Locker Supplies:
Glue stick
Box of colored pencils or washable markers (no Sharpiesรข or other permanent markers allowed)
Extra pencils and pens
Optional: locker shelves (wire mesh work better, but there are also plastic sets โ available at Office Depot or Walmart)
Suggested supplies for home:
- Glue sticks
- Posterboard
- Dictionary / Thesaurus
- Scissors
- Colored pencils
- Ruler
- Multi-colored construction paper
We suggest that you buy extra paper, pens, pencils, and folders as they get used up or worn out about half through the year and it would be cheaper to buy it when the stores run their back-to-school sales.
