Article Analysis

Article Analysis Assignment Information and Schedule

Requirements:

  • Place this handout in your binder for reference.
  • Articles are due the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month (except in Dec., April, and May)
  • You have two weeks between deadlines to find an article to use, read often to find what you need.
  • Article must be current, up to 4 months old, and may only be used once, even if it fits multiple topics. Check the date before you do the analysis.
  • You may use newspapers, magazines or links posted in the Article Analysis section on my web page: Internet News Site.  Do not use encyclopedia or encyclopedia type articles. If you are not sure, ask before the day it is due.
  • Attach the original article or a photocopy/print out of the article to your assignment. If there is no article attached, it can not be graded.
  • Do your assignment on an 8 ½ X 11 sheet of paper and have it typed in black ink or handwritten using pencil.
  • Late articles will not be accepted and a zero will be given for incomplete work.
  • Use the format shown in the document section of this website.   Be sure to reference it and the practice analysis we started with in class.
