I am available to work with students individually for a number of problems
that might be present, such as friendship issues, difficulty in the
classroom, on the playground or on the bus, conflict resolution, new student
orientation, grief and divorce issues, difficulty coming to school and anger
management, to name a few. Referrals for students to meet with the counselor
can be made by classroom teachers or other school staff (principal, school
nurse, etc.), by parents or through student self-referrals (yes, even at the
elementary level!).
Please keep in mind that I am certified in school counseling and am available
to speak with parents concerning issues interfering with school progress. I
am not certified in family counseling, but will be happy to work with our
school's mental health consultant to obtain a community referral for you.
