Six of those years were spent teaching fourth, kindergarten and first grades at Camden Station and this will be my sixth year as a school counselor. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of Locust Grove and am excited to get to know your family. After having been born and raised in Oldham County, I attended Hanover College in southern Indiana and graduated in 1998. On my graduation day, I was hired at Camden Station. What a fabulous graduation gift! After a few months of teaching, I began masters classes at the University of Louisville. In 2001, I completed my masters and Rank I in elementary school counseling and completed the Standard Certification in school counseling a year later. Growing up, I always wanted to be a teacher and to work with young children. When I moved schools during my elementary years, the school counselor at my new school made the transition a successful one for me. It was then that I was inspired to work with children through the school counselor role. I love being a school counselor because I really enjoy working with their teachers and families. I believe it's important for young children to learn how to get along with others, how to make good choices and how to solve problems in an effective manner. I also enjoy helping children discover all the special and unique things about themselves and about people in the world around them - like their interests, their dreams and their abilities. To reach me, please call 222-3521, ext. 305. My email address is also listed below. julie.voegele@oldham.kyschools.us We are looking forward to an excellent school year! Links Section Title:
