Mrs. Queen graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a BS in Middle
Grade Education. She also has a BA in English/Creative Writing from the
University of Tennessee. She enjoys traveling around the world and
photography. She is married to Charlton Queen of Lexington and has two boys
James 12 and Jackson 3.
In this class students will learn about World History from the First
Civilizations, Ancient Cities including China, Greece, and Rome, Middle Ages,
the Renaissance, and the Enlightenment. Students are introduced to cultural,
economic, political and social development that has shaped our world in which
they now live. We will use the textbook World History: Journey Across Time
The Early Ages as a framework for the class. We will also use secondary
resources, the internet, and videos to enhance the learning experience.
