About The Teacher
I am currently in my fifth year as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher. I grew up in London and graduated from South Laurel High School in 1999. I then went on to Eastern Kentucky University where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences Education. After substitute teaching and working as Program/Camp Director at the London-Laurel County YMCA, I began teaching at North Hardin High School in Radcliff, KY. I taught there for one year before moving back home to take this position at Corbin High School. I have loved my time at CHS and look forward to another successful and enjoyable year. I am currently working towards my Master's Degree. I am an active member of several professional organizations and serve as the Region 13 KATFACS (Ky Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences) Treasurer. I am the advisor for FCCLA (check out our link)and I am the Advisor to the Regional Vice President of Community Service and the Regional 1st Vice President. I am also the co-sponsor for First Priority. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time with friends. I am an avid reader, mostly crime and mystery novels, which also explains why my favorite televisions shows are ones like Law and Order and CSI. I am very active in my church, Grace Fellowship, in London.
