Radio Club Newsflash

Tuesday Dec. 8th there will be a meeting of the Dixie
Heights Amateur Radio Club immediately after school.
The hf station is up and working. In the past week there
have been contacts made with Mexico, Canada, and Slovenia,
as well as numerous stateside contacts.We will have a brief
meeting and then some fun time operating if the bands cooperate.


Dec 1st, 2009 KY4DH made contacts before school with
the following stations: XE1B in Mexico City on 20 meters.
and KT4FW in Fayetteville, NC, KG4KQI in Clayton, NC
and KD8FHM in Grand Rapids MI on 80 meters.

On Sat. Nov. 28th KY4DH and Dixie Heights hosted
the K4CO special event station celebrating 50 years
since the creation of their club. The event was a great
success with K4CO club members and Dixie Heights
students working stations all over the United States
and Canada. I hope to have some pictures to post
soon.


Attention all amateur radio operators: On Saturday Nov. 28
K4CO the Northern Ky Amateur Radio Club awill be
operating a special event station at Dixie Heights High School.
KY4DH will be hosting the special event station and members of
the Dixie Heights Radio Club are invited to come join the fun and
operate in this activity. The station will be contacting stations all
over the world. Come join the fun. Room 1306 starting at 10:00am
and continuing throughout the day.
