Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship:  Go to 
www.jackierobinson.orgTo be eligible for a Jackie Robinson 
Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must: Be a graduating, 
minority high school senior , Plan to attend an accredited and 
approved four-year institution within the United States, Show 
leadership potential, Demonstrate a dedication to community 
service, Present evidence of financial need, Be a United States 
citizen, A minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and 
critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 22  , Not 
possess a degree from a 2 or 4-year college when applying for the 
scholarship. Application due March 30, 2012
Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

1. Create a video that describes what servant leadership means to 
you. 2. Share your video on Dayton's facebook page and collect as 
many votes as possible. 3. The 10 videos with the most votes will 
be reviewed by a judging panel. Three winners will be selected. 
First place: $40,000 ($10,000 for 4 years) Second place: $6,000 
Third Place: $4,000.
University of Dayton Video Contest

The Mensa Foundation awarded 170 scholarships totaling $77,800 in 
2011. To apply for the 2012 program, send a SASE to Kentuckiana 
Mensa Scholarships, 11204 Brooke Trace Cir., Louisville, KY 40229 
for an application or download an application from 
www.mensafoundation.org, click on "US Process," 
then "Application" on the left-hand menu.
Kentuckiana Mensa Scholarships

Forty students will win a $1,000 scholarship in a random drawing. 
Available to high school seniors and college undergraduates. No

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships
Named for the first African American to walk in space, ExxonMobil 
Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships are available to 
2012 graduating high school seniors in school districts 
represented by the Council of the Great City Schools.
Four scholarships for two males and two females --- $5,000 each --
- will be awarded to two African American and two Hispanic 
students on behalf of the former NASA astronaut, physician and 
businessman, Dr. Bernard Harris.  Deadline for submissions is 
April 2, 2012. For students to apply, they should access the

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarships

2012 Student-View Scholarship Program — $10,000 worth of 
scholarships available to high school seniors who plan to attend 
a four-year college, community/junior college or career school. 
Log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 min. 
application survey. Scholarship awarded on random drawing. 
Deadline is April 22. Student Insights is a market research firm

ABAK Agriculture Scholarship Program – $1,000 scholarship for 
students who have declared a major in an agricultural related 
field of study or who have been accepted into an agricultural 
study program. Application materials available in Student

$1,000 Balanced Man Scholarship for a outstanding freshman male 
entering Western Kentucky University in the Fall. For a male who 
embodies the principles of the Balanced Man, someone who is 
academically minded and excels in other activities. Must have 21

KY AMVETS Auxiliary Scholarship – For a high school graduate who 
has been accepted into a school for a Service-oriented

Alpha Sorority — For young African American women who demonstrate 
academic potential, financial need and ability to overcome

Florence Barry Scott Education Scholarship — Must be a full time 
senior in JCPS and have 3.0 or better GPA. Must not be receiving 
full reimbursement of the expenses of tuition, books, etc. 
Requirements: application, three references, 500 word essay.

Florence Barry Scott Education Scholarship

Kentucky Federation of Republican Women Scholarship Program — 
$1000 scholarship to a college-bound senior girl who is a 
registered Republican planning to enroll in a course of study at 
an accredited college or university in Kentucky. Deadline is 
April 16. See the scholarship box in Student Services for an 
application.
Kentucky Federation of Republican Women Scholarship Program 

Every year, Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society (BIACS) award 
$1,000 one-time scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 
the spring or summer of each year and who will be joining a 
college for postsecondary education. BIACS has been awarding 
these scholarships since 1986. This year, BIACS will be awarding 
at least nine (9) scholarships, seven to the graduating high 
school seniors from any of the Kentucky high school and one to a 
graduate student from UK. The Banquet will be held on Sunday May 
20, 2012 from 4:30 to 9:30 PM at Embassy Suites, 1801 Newtown 
Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. 
   This scholarship is open to any graduating high school 
students. Complete information is available in the package. The 
application material with instructions can be downloaded from  
www.biacs.org . 

Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society (BIACS) Award

2012 Kentucky State Police Trooper Island Scholarship Program. 
Created in 2008, the program strives to expand the mission of 
Trooper Island, our boys and girls camp located on Dale Hollow 
Lake in southeastern Kentucky. Our hope is to provide scholastic 
financial support for young people attending a college or 
technical/vocational school. Although preference will be given to 
those students who attended Trooper Island camp, it is open to 
all who apply. We expect to award three scholarships in the 
amount of $1,000.00 to be used for the fall semester of this year.
The deadline for scholarship application submissions for the 2012 
program is April 1, 2012. Find copies of the application in the 
scholarship box in Student Services. Completed applications may

2012 Charles T. Steele Scholarships sponsored by The Louisville 
Urban League Guild Scholarship Committee. Eligibiliy: Graduating 
Senior, ACT score of 18 or better, GPA of 3.0 or better, 
Financial Need, Have been accepted and will attend two or four-

The Department of Chemistry of the University of Kentucky is 
pleased to announce the Wilbur L. Price Scholarship for a high 
school student who will become a chemistry major at the 
University of Kentucky in the Fall Semester of 2012. See Ms.

Wilbur L. Price Scholarship at UK - Chemistry majors

A $1000 scholarship for graduating seniors in the Jefferson 
County Public Schools pursuing a two- or four-year degree at an 
accredited institution and demonstrating a commitment to 
environmental stewardship. Applications must be postmarked by 
April 13, 2012. Pick up the application in the scholarship box in

The Community Foundation of Louisville

Louisville Metro Housing Authority Scholarship Program:  For high 
school seniors and adults who reside in public housing 
developments or Section 8 units. Scholarships of $1500 for one 
year (renewable based on grades and funding). Eligibility also 
includes 2.0 gpa, essay, application. See Ms. Dattilo/Scholarship 
Box for the application. Deadline is May 1.

Kentucky Electronic Security Association 2012 Youth Scholarship 
Program: $1000 Scholarship For high school seniors whose parent 
is fire personnel or active duty police. Deadline is March 30.

Ahrens Trade High School Alumni Association Scholarship Program:  
The Alumni Association will be awarding two $1000 scholarships to 
graduating seniors who are a child, grandchild or great-
grandchild of an Ahrens Alumni, either living or deceased, and 
will be attending a college, university or vocational school 
after graduation. There are no specific GPA requirements, 
although GPA will be taken into consideration along with other 
criteria. Application and guidelines are available from the 
website www.ahrensalumni.org. Deadline for submission is April 1, 
2012.

Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital 2012 Scholarships: $3000 each with 
at least 12 being awarded to deserving Seniors who live in the 
primary service areas of the following zip codes: 40047, 40105, 
40109, 40110, 40118, 40165, 40202, 40203, 40204, 40205, 40206, 
40207, 40208, 40209, 40210, 40211, 40212, 40214, 40215, 40216,

40258, 40272. Seniors must plan to attend an accredited college 
or university and sumbit application (available in Scholarship 
box in Student Services), two teacher recommendations, one rec

Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Scholarships

THE ZAMBIA NKRUMAH LIVE THE LEGACY SCHLOARSHIP AWARD: will be 
given to two students who are involved in changing our community 
and creating a legacy that promotes academic success and communal 
empowerment.  Five-Hundred Dollars will be awarded to each 
student who meets the enclosed criteria. Award is based on 
academic standing and community involvement. Students must have a 
minimum 2.5 GPA and provide documentation. Two recommendations 
(One from a teacher or counselor and one from an adult mentor). 
Students must be involved in extra-curricular activities. 
Impartial panel of judges will determine awards. Deadline is

Louisville Agricultural Club Scholarships: For students who will 
be enrolled in agricultural or ag-related curricula in Kentucky 
and Indiana. Scholarships awarded on the basis of academic 
achievement, character, citizenship, need and participation in 
activities other than class work. Deadline is March 31. See the 
scholarship box for applications. Awards range from $2100 to 
$3600 payable over four years.

per school who will be attending JCTC or U of L full time, show

Minority Educator Recruitment and Retention Scholarships: For the 
following schools: EKU, Kentucky State University, Morehead, 
Murray State University, NKU, UK, U of L, and WKU. Students 
applying for the MERR scholarships must meet the university’s 
criteria for the scholarship and must plan to major in education. 
MERR scholarships are usually in the amount of $2,500.00 per 
semester and are renewable for up to four years, as long as the 
student continues to major in education and maintains good 
academic standing with the university.  Applications available in 
Student Services Scholarship Box. Deadline is April 23.
Minority Educator Recruitment and Retention Scholarships

Women in School Administration Rosa Phillips Stonestreet 
Scholarship: one $500.00 scholarship to a member of the class of 
2012. To be eligible for this scholarship, the female student 
must enroll in a teacher certification program in an accredited 
college or university in the fall of 2012. She should have 
outstanding leadership qualities with a  minimum GPA of 3.0.
