Number Worlds Information
The intervention students at Carr Creek Elementary use the Number
Worlds Curriculum. Number Worlds has been designed to develop good
intuitions about number and number environments.
The Kindergarten and 1st grade levels are intended to prevent later
problems in math. The engaging activites bring the student up to level so
they are ready for math. The activites are specifically targeted to address
foundational understandings, but are engaging for all students.
The Second/Third Grade Intervention targets computing, understanding,
reasoning, applying, and engaging-the specific concepts and skills that
builds mathematics proficiency.
In addition to the hands-on and workbook activities, Number Worlds
includes BUILDING BLOCKS software to provide additional exposure too and
practice with foundational math concepts. It is and essential element of
the Number Worlds Curriculum.
