In Math Recovery, I will meet with your child each day for 30 minutes, for 10-15 weeks. I will develop an individual lesson based on the need of each student. Instructional settings are created and presented to the student. These tasks are meant to provide a true challenge for the student but remain within their capabilities. All true learning occurs when a child is working at the cutting edge if their knowledge. All lessons are videotaped. The purpose is to allow me to closely study the student's strategies and mathematical thinking for planning future instruction.
