Message from the Principal

Hello,
As most of you know, I am the new principal of Milton Elementary. I have a teaching background in grades 3 – 5 which spans 3 states. Becoming the principal is a realization of a life long dream. I am very excited about meeting so many people and starting school in our beautiful new building.

LATEST NEWS

New Morning Procedures at MES

Car riders will pull into the circle drive that is to the left of the school. There will be supervision at the drop off area. The school doors will open at 7:30 for car riders.
Buses will unload at 7:55.

Afternoon Procedures at MES

Parents wishing to pick up their child will need to pull into the circle drive to the left of the school and wait in your car. Students will be dismissed at 3:05. We ask that you do not come into the building at this time. The reason for this request is that in the past there have been several people in the building at dismissal time and it resulted in some confusion as the end of the day. If you cannot wait until the dismissal time, your child will be called to the office for you to check him/her out. Students riding the bus will be dismissed at 3:20.

Behavior Expectations

I can say with great excitement that all the students I have met so far have been very well behaved. As a faculty, we have very high expectations of our students. We will be focusing on the character trait of the month: RESPECT. We will be practicing the hallway, playground, restroom, etc. procedures I am looking forward to a great year.

Dress Code

The dress code for students will remain the same as last year. Please remember that spaghetti straps, muscle shirts and flip-flops are not allowed. Also Tennis Shoes will be the only shoes allowed in PE. Students who do not wear tennis shoes will not be allowed to participate in PE.
