NOMS Junior Beta ClubThere will be a Beta Club meeting for any students interested in attending the Beta Convention February 23rd & 24th on Tuesday, December 13th. You must attend one of the two meetings being held at 8 AM or 3:40 PM in Mrs. Gruenberg's room. Only members in good standing can go to the convention. This means grades are in align with Beta expectations and community service hours are up to date. Hours sheets are available in the office. Hours are due at the end of each month and can be turned in to the "Beta Club Hours" box on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf in the office. Hours are tracked by our secretaries and any students who are missing hours for more than one month will be contacted by them. 2011-2012 school year - Current 8th grade members need to start turning in community service hours for September. New 7th or 8th grade members will start turning in hours in October. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES- Beta students who need December hours - please come help out with the NOMS Wrestling tournament being held at the high school on Thursday, December 29 and Friday, December 30th. Students are needed mornings and afternoons. If interested, please contact Dawn McCubbin at 429-6756 or dawnnjim@insightbb.com no later than December 22nd. MEETING DATES- Tuesday, September 27 Tuesday, November 22 Tuesday, January 24 Tuesday, March 27 All meetings start at 7:45 AM and are held in the gym. Please be on time. Additional dates may be added as necessary - Induction Ceremony practice, preparation for the State Convention, etc. |
