PTP Games

Set

All students have now learned to play the card game "Set".  We will continue to play set as an extension at the end of some of our sessions. Set is a Mensa-award-winning game that requires constant mental concentration. It is equally challenging and enjoyable for all ages.  It strengthens visual perception and deductive reasoning.  It is available at WalMart, Target and on Amazon.  There is also an excellent ipad app, SetGame, for $4.

                                                    Blokus

Blokus is also a MENSA award-winning game.  It requires students to think strategically, forming images in their mind, before arranging their pieces on the board.  It is challenging and fun for all ages.  It can be purchased online and at local retailers such as Target. It is also available as both an iphone and ipad app.

                                                      Genius Cards

Genius Decks--There are many versions of Genius Decks.  The one that we will use this year is the secret codes deck.  Kids will work with coding sheets for Morse Code, Braille, Rosicrucian, and pattern grids.  Genius decks are available at amazon.com and at the Louisville Science Center.
