Message from the Principal
By joining St. Aloysius you are joining not only a school or a church, but a faith community. We are a family that comforts one another in hardship, depends upon one another for success, and rejoices together in the many blessings God has bestowed on us. Our students enjoy the comforts of modern technology with SmartBoard systems in each classroom, dissection microscopes and probe software in the science lab, and wireless laptops available to all classes. Yet, we also have the personal touches of big brothers/sisters for primary students, a middle school community system, and a dedicated faculty and staff that sponsor over 25 extracurricular activities.
Beyond the traditional academics, St. Aloysius School is first and foremost a Catholic institution promoting the understanding and appreciation of our Catholic faith. We have developed our own Catholic Handbook for Children. Priests and deacons visit our classrooms regularly. Saints are celebrated in the morning announcements and children attend/plan weekly masses as well as monthly prayer services. Religion is not simply another subject in the weekly lesson plan; it pervades everything we do and everything we hope to be at St. Aloysius. We look forward to welcoming you and your family into the St. Aloysius Catholic Community.

COME PAINT A WHILE!
Don't forget we will be working at school over the summer on a variety of projects. We need all hands on deck to paint classrooms, mount SmartBoards, move classroom items, sort books, etc. Dates for painting are listed on the Friday Information page. A News Flash will be sent out to remind you when the dates draw near. A few hours of your time can literally brighten the entire year for a classroom full of children. If painting is not your "thing" there are plenty oof other projects to work on. For more information, please contact Mrs. Hayslip in the school office (yes, even during the summer).

SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENTS
Just when you thought school was finished, summer reading assignments are posted. The reading lists are shown on the Friday Information page. This is a great way to keep your skills sharp over the summer. Mrs. Singer will have the school library open over the summer on Tuesdays. Stop in and see us! Books you check out won't be due until the first day of school.

Light of Mine Fund
Click here to find more information
The Fr. Jack Caldwell Light Of Mine Fund has been established to help St. Aloysius purchase those "big ticket items" that are usually not in the school's operation budget. Check out the top 10 wish list or find out how to donate by clicking the link above. Corporate matching gifts are greatly appreciated. So far this year we have received enough donations to purchase a special needs cart and manipulatives as well as several new computers. Thank you for your continued support of St. Aloysius Catholic School.
