Children are required to write their homework down each day in their
planners. I ask that parents check the planners each night to see that
homework is completed and put in their homework folder to be returned to
school. Please initial the planner to show that you have checked it for that
night. Children will receive a sticker each Friday if their planners have
parent initials for the previous Monday through Thursday.
Upcoming tests and study guides will be posted on the website.
Weekly homework assignments will include the home reading record
(read for 10-15 minutes each night) and basic math facts (usually 20 on
Monday and Tuesday and 30 on Wednesday and Thursday).
Other assignments will be written in planners each day.
December Reading Records are due on January 5th. Please make sure all
information is completed. Thank you.
SUPPLIES ARE NEEDED!!!
Please ask your child if they are in need of new school supplies. I know I
have seen many folders that are hanging on by one staple and many markers and
crayons are in the "lost and found" container and they don't seem to belong
to anyone in our class?! We have plenty of pencils and glue sticks available
at school, but markers, crayons, sharpies, and folders may need to be
replaced for the new year. Maybe Santa will leave a few in some stockings
this Christmas!
