P.O.N.Y Binder Overview

Prepared, Organized, and Neat Youngin

Front Inside Pocket of Binder:

Class List & web site info

In the front inside pocket of your binder you will find a class list as well as information on our class web site. The web site is easy to navigate and is filled with a lot of great information. Throughout the year many pictures will be posted on the web site so that you can see what is happening in our classroom. Please check it often- changes occur regularly.

Zipper Pocket:

Money

This is where you should put all money to be brought to school (field trips, book orders, lunch or snack money, if your child stays all day etc). This way we know where to find it and it doesn't get lost in the bottom of a backpack.

First Colored Sleeve:

Super Duper Work to keep at home.

In the first colored sleeve you will find super duper work that your child has completed in class. Please remove them nightly. After you have oooed and ahhhed over it, we're sure that you will want to show this work off on your refrigerator.

Second Colored Sleeve:

Sign & Return

In the second colored sleeve you will find all of the papers throughout the year that need to be filled out and signed. Please be sure to fill out all of the necessary information and return to school as soon as possible or by the date that it is due.

Third Colored Sleeve:

Newsletters, theme sheets & book orders etc.

In the third colored sleeve you will find newsletters and theme sheets. This is how you will know what we are doing in class every week. So please be sure to read them carefully.

The book orders will be coming home once a month. Thsi is a great way to get really nice books for your child for a great price and we earn bonus points to get materials & books for the classroom. It's a win, win situation!

Parent/Teacher * Communication

This will serve as our parent/teacher communication log. This will be for notes between us and you. Please stress to your child that this paper is ONLY for the teacher and parent to write in. Check this section daily and we will try to do the same. Please leave these notes in the binder, so that we can look back and remember any communications that we have had. Initial all notes that you have read and we will do the same. That way, we know that all notes have been read, even when no response is necessary.

Snack & School Calendar

Your child will receive a new snack calendar once a month- this will help you remember when they are suppose to bring in snack. You may bring the snack & drink in that morning. Please be sure that the drink is 100% juice or milk.

School Calendar- This will help keep you informed of days off.
