We are going to have so much fun this year! We will be doing lots of painting, drawing, writing, and reading. We will also be doing many projects on the smartboard and computers.
Once a month we will be studying a new children's author. With each author we will learn where they are from, what kinds of books they write, what fingerprints to look for and we will also do many projects that go with the books that they write.
We would also like to encourage our students to develop a healthy lifestyle by introducing a program called "Color Me Healthy." We feel that it is important to educate our children at an early age about physical activity and healthy eating. The idea behind the program is to introduce different types of food and explore opportunities for physical activity. More information will come home in the form of parent newsletters.
These are just a few of the things that we will be doing this year. Each day presents a unique opportunity for the children to create and explore the world around them.
